1. What lokal does
lokal is a business and services directory. We help people discover places and contact professionals. We do not sell their products, process their payments or become a party to agreements between you and those professionals. A listing is not an endorsement or guarantee.
2. Information and search
Hours, contact details, products, any prices and availability may change or contain errors. Confirm important details directly before travelling or paying. Verification concerns listing information, not the quality, safety or legality of every service. Related-category results do not guarantee that a product is offered. Distances are approximate straight-line distances, not routes.
3. Dealing with businesses
You choose the professionals you contact and the terms you accept. Check their identity, qualifications when relevant, prices and sales terms. Direct complaints about a sale or service to the business concerned. lokal is not an emergency service, and health listings are not medical advice.
4. Suggestions, reviews and content rights
Submit accurate information and only content you have permission to share. Reviews must reflect a real experience; disclose commercial or personal relationships that may influence your review. Fake reviews, impersonation, threats, harassment and disclosure of private information are prohibited. You retain your content rights and grant lokal a non-exclusive permission to host, reproduce, translate and display your content to operate and moderate the directory. Obtain the necessary permissions for photographs, trademarks and people depicted. This permission does not allow selling your content to others for their own purposes.
5. Review and reporting
Suggestions and reviews are not published automatically. We may request details, correct errors or refuse or remove content that violates these terms or the law. Honest reviews are not removed solely because they are negative. To report an error, infringement or unlawful content, provide the listing link and an explanation using the contact on this page. We may request information needed to assess the report.
6. Using the site and accounts
Do not bypass access restrictions, disrupt the service, harvest personal information or use the directory for fraud. Account holders must protect their credentials and report unauthorized access. We may restrict access in response to abuse or risks to the service. Do not use lokal’s name, logo or presentation to suggest an unauthorized partnership.
7. Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for the acts of independent businesses or indirect losses arising from their use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or mandatory rights, including consumer rights. Links to third-party websites do not put their practices under our control.
8. Capacity and changes
To submit content or create an account, you must have the required legal capacity or your legal representative’s permission. Updated versions are published with their date. Material changes requiring renewed agreement will be brought to your attention. They do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent allowed by law.
